Lab: Facts: Atmosphere,Albedo, solar energy Greenhouse gas: A gas that absorbs and re-emits infrared light (increase) Global climate change= global warming visible light from sun, then infrared light to greenhouse gases which moves slowly, 50F cooler people often lack knowledge of Global climate change  Lecture:  Why do certain gasses cause the greenhouse effect? Co2 was changed all the time, Solar Radiation (Sun), Volcanic activity, human impacts Albedo Effect, feedback lop,  The reflectivily of a surface; how much radiation is reflected vs. absorbed  Color has a major influence on albedo  A high albedo means something is more reflective, a low albedo means it is less reflective/ will absorb more radiation Albedo=1--->completely reflects radiation Antarctica now has more than. 65,000 meltwater lakes' as summer ice melts Since grass leaves release water vapor (or transpire)  What effect does this have on the albedo across the entire planet? How migh...

Lab: Climate VS Weather Climate is what we expect, weather is what we got Jigsaw activity:  Our group read the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation which is an organizer  that works with private landowners and public agencies to protect and restore Iowa's land, water and wildlife. Big takeaways:     Talked about  Iowa is experiencing more extreme weather , including increased rainfall, flooding, and droughts . Also, f looding is Getting Worse:   River flow has drastically increased. And Agriculture is Suffering What they do: Land, Water & Wildlife Protection , Multi-Use Trails ( connect with the nature), Land Stewardship & Management (rebuilt the good wildlife, Conservation Policy (support for protect activities and funds) Preserving natural habitats like prairies and wetlands can help absorb excess water and store carbon, making Iowa more resilient. Then we separate in to Letter group, We need to finding data support:  What type of data do...

Lab:  Climate Science Before the Flood What are the primary points in the video?  What are the major issues? The primary points: The significant impact humans (especially the government) has on climate change  The clivi need to reduce the carbon emissions and change to renewable energy Bringing more awareness to reduce climate change whole mixed default situations What questions do you want us to teach you? Climate change evolutions How to bring more awareness to climate change among people? You're a teacher: how would you like us to teach you?  collaborative small group research,  learn more activities how to improve the situations The lake become thinner, less water create about humans   all the little parts by the lake are gone. Our group chose SWCC                     Creston.                   City#2 Osceola.           ...

Lab: Sweater Article: trying to ask them to learn from their own Children in charge finding out by themselves, not from the teacher pre-conception main takeaway: making sure they are learning and discovering safe learning: see how you can grow, let them corporate with each other. Law of superposition: The old one is sillstore, then is sandstore Sand:  We use 显微镜,to see 12 types of the sand. We try the hair first:  Then we see the first 5 types of the sand examples:      1. Beach(ocean)       2. Dune      3. Beach(ocean)       4. Beach(ocean)        5. River Then we see the last 6 kinds of the sand examples to see which types of those from. 6. dune     7. River       8. River Beach      9. Beach.    10. Beach.  11. woolites This is our guess. first: lecture: Buoyancy/What is water displacement? Density Gold=20 Quarts=2....
